It is a specialized service that measures the carbon footprint associated with events, whether in-person or online. The assessment considers all activities related to the event, such as energy consumption, participant transportation, material use, catering and suppliers, generating a detailed inventory of greenhouse gas emissions.
The methodology is flexible and can be applied to any type of event, from small corporate meetings to large international conferences, cultural events, fairs and even fully virtual events. This enables a comprehensive assessment of the carbon footprint, regardless of size or format.
To ensure greater accuracy, we request data such as: Event type and format (in-person, hybrid, virtual), Estimated number of participants, Location and space characteristics (area, infrastructure), Total event duration, Transport modes used by participants and staff, Suppliers involved and materials used, Catering services and other resources consumed. Even if some data is not available, our team can use estimates based on similar events to ensure calculation reliability.
Yes, our team uses recognized methodologies and industry best practices to fill gaps with well-founded estimates, ensuring a useful and applicable calculation for planning and improving future events. However, the more real data provided, the more robust the generated report will be.
The calculation follows recognized international standards, such as the GHG Protocol, which is the main framework for emissions accounting, in addition to GET (Green Events Tool), a UN-supported methodology specially developed to measure and reduce emissions at events. This combination ensures transparency, reliability and alignment with global best practices.
We deliver a detailed PDF report containing: Summary of total emissions and by category, Charts and visualizations to facilitate interpretation, Insights and practical recommendations to reduce the footprint in future events, Suggestions for compensation through reliable carbon credits. This report serves as a basis for decision making and can be shared with stakeholders.
Yes. We offer options for offsetting emissions through certified carbon credits, aligned with internationally recognized projects, such as renewable energy and forest conservation. This allows the organization to neutralize the environmental impact of the event, contributing to sustainability goals and corporate image.
